Tree Sparrow

Tree Sparrow - Passer montanus
The tree sparow can be seen all year round. Its scarcer in the uplands, and far north & west of the UK. The main populations are found in the Midlands, southern & eastern England.
Indentification
Adult Smaller than the house sparrow, but with both sexes showing great similarities. Crown of chocolate brown, tiny black bib, black cheek spot on white cheeks. The Tree Sparrow has a white half collar, white underparts and a tail thats almost permanetly cocked.

Behaviour flits, perches openly, hops, takes off and lands from vegetation or the ground
