Portly, bull necked bird the male bullfinch is distinctive with its bright pink breast and strong black crown cap, the upper back is pale grey and the rump is white. The wings are black, medium lengthen with a notch and have a bold white wing bar. The tail is also black with a white patch. |

Similar in build but with pale pink- buff breast and pinkish grey back. |
