Blue tit  – Parus caeruleus
The Blue tit is one of the most attractive, commonest of the tit family that's resident in your garden. They are particularly attracted to gardens that offer them peanuts in a feeder. They readily breed in nest boxes if you site them in a suitable location in your garden, and are frequent visitors to the garden bird bath. They can be seen across the whole of the UK.
Indentification
Adult Wings pale blue with single white wing bar; back greenish. Underparts breast yellow with neat dark dividing line on centre breast. White cheeks enclosed by dark line from eye to chin. Tail pale blue, with notch medium in length, crown blue.
Juvenile Juvenile  – as adult but colours not so deep and crown is greenish yellow
Size 11 - 12cm
Bill black, short and stubby.
Legs Black: medium in length
Habitat gardens, heaths, woods, hedges.
Behaviour flits, takes off & landing on vegetation

Flight flitting, undulating.
Voice harsh churr
Breeding
Nest trees, large bushes & nest boxes.
Eggs lays 7 - 12 eggs on average, eggs are white speckled reddish.
Incubation period 12 – 16 days
Fledgling 15 – 23 days
